Simple Baby Boy Session | Boardman, OH

Dario is the nephew of a friend and fellow photographer, and it’s always such a huge honor to be referred by other talented photographers! Dario’s mom reached out to me a few days after her baby boy was born to book their session and we got her on the schedule right away for this past Saturday morning, working around Dario’s dad’s work schedule.

At 15 days new, Dario came to see me for his newborn session. These new parents were nervous that their little guy would put up a fight for his session. D’s mama even doubted the session would happen at all! Dario doesn’t cry much, but he’s great at complaining with his little baby grunts. He never really fell into a deep sleep, so any time I changed his wrap he was sure to tell me all about how I was disrupting him. But he was sleepy enough to relax into his poses after I got him wrapped up and cozy, and he and I got along pretty great during the session.

Especially, because, he has the sweetest little details, which is my favorite part of every session! As much as Dario had to say to me with his little grunts of complaints, he smiled more than any newborn baby that I’ve photographed. He gave a smile in, at least, every pose!

Mom and dad booked my “Little“ package, which doesn’t include family photos, but I wanted to include Dario’s parents in some way in at least one image. We were able to get this shot, as the last of the day, for an intimate little family shot and for a peek of Dario’s tiny peepers.
