I don’t even want to talk about how cute this girl is… I just want to show off every single image from her session!

It feels like I was JUST with Kevin and Marie in Millcreek Park for their maternity session, yet here we are, already blogging her newborn session! This little fam had a rough go at their first week home, between jaundice, healing form delivery, doctor visits, postpartum infections and sleepless nights these parents were pretty much thrust in parenthood blindfolded. But they’re freaking champions, and they showed up looking great and brought me the most content little baby girl to photograph.

When they arrived, Harper made some noise letting me know she was there and she was boss! After a feeding and getting her all wrapped up for family shots and the first few poses of the session she went into a nice deep slumber and let me get right to work!

Marie requested a rustic look and a few specific poses, as well as mentioning an adorable nursery theme [keep reading to find out what it is!]. Harper’s parents, also, put work into having meaningful and sentimental images from their session… They brought Kevin’s childhood stuffed puppy, Marie’s coming home blanket from when she was born, her wedding dress and a handmade lovey from a friend. These items made my first session in over a month that much more exciting!

Once I got all of the special requests completed, I worked with Harper on a pink backdrop with a touch of grey, to go with her nursery theme of pink + elephants. She was so sleepy and let me do several transitional poses and grab all the sweet details like baby rolls and baby fingers and toes.

Babies born in the midst of holiday season only means one thing… deep gem tones of winter and photos filled with Christmas magic. I finished of her session on burgundy fabric in a matching burgundy body suit to keep it neutral and classic, but then this sleeping girl went right into a ribbon wrapped basket to pose with Santa dolls, milk and cookies and a mini pine tree.
