Hi friends!

I'm eRika

I am originally from Western Pennsylvania, I met my husband, Brock, while he was in the Navy, and moved to Gulfport, Mississippi, where he was stationed. While we were in Mississippi, we got married and had our son, Braden. [Yes the “B“ name is intentional]. About 8 years ago we moved home, to be closer to family and are settled just across the Ohio/PA border in a renovated farmhouse in small town Farmdale, Ohio.

Most days you can find me starting my day with a home brewed coffee and ending it with a steamy bath and a glass of wine. Somewhere in the middle, I’m guaranteed to be caring for my family, snuggling my dood, Max, during a timeless television rerun or squeezing in a target run. I love to be the primary “doer“ among my husband and son and my time is prioritized by putting our family life first. Outside of mom and wife life, I love to salvage old furniture or create our own heirloom projects with my handy and sarcastic husband.

People often refer to me as carefree and bubbly [hello enneagram 9w1] and I love serving the world by offering attentive friendship, which has been the foundation of my photography journey. My passion has been slowly growing, always blurring the line between “friend” and “client”, which suits me just perfectly.

The things I am most passionate about in life are my family, generosity, soaking in the small moments life has to offer and photographing milestones for people like you! Who are totally into having a good time and creating memories out of simple moments. It’s so important to me that my clients feel as if we’re long time friends while allowing me capture new memories for them to cherish forever!

My goal for your investment is for you to have photos hanging in your home that you won’t ever take down.

If you’re interested in becoming friends and getting in front of my camera, you can inquire for a session here.

I hoped you’d love to know more!

Find out more about us as you read on!

Hubby

Brock is an equipment operator. He works a LOT in the warmer months, which means a decent amount of solo parenting for me, but we get to soak up tons of family time in the colder months while he’s off! Our story is pretty unique. We met through mutual friends setting us up while he was home on leave, and spent an entire week together. Once he was back in Mississippi it only took two visits for us to decide that I should move there. Fast forward a quick 7 months and we eloped at the court house!

Tiny terror

Braden is my not so little 10 year old best bud. He looks just like me and I’m pretty sure we’re the same height right now [showing up at 5’ even over here!] and definitely the same shoes size. I know that’ll be short lived, but it’s super convenient right now. My dude could win awards in sass, is quite the book worm and loves sports. He is a die hard baseball fanatic, and even though he’s never played, he talked us into visiting the football hall of fame this winter. Braden also geeks out over Pokemon and video games, which is fine with me, because I love kicking his butt in Mario cart!

My Fur DOOD

Our 7 year old golden doodle puppy that we adopted as “Frank“ at 3 months old is now known as Max and he’s Braden’s perfect fur sibling and my snuggle partner. Braden and Max match each other in energy and pal around all day, usually until Braden calls it quits on Max [doods stamina is ridiculous]. Afterward, Max and I break the rules of ‘No Max on the Couch’, with end of the day cuddles, usually to Brock’s dismay.

random Fact

Pre mom life I worked as a phlebotomist in the hospital..every patients least favorite early morning visitor! I learned a ton and saw so many different things in my 6 years at the hospital and some days I really do miss the adrenaline of working there.
