Hello!

I'm Christie

I’m just a thirty-something wife/momma/hot mess living in a small town in Northeast Ohio with my outdoorsy husband, Drew, our three tiny humans, Savannah, Evelyn and Maverick, and our furry children, Quinn, Bonnie and Fuzzy Wuzzy. I’m all about showing up authentically, over appearing perfect, and relating to people on real levels; no fluff, no highlight reel.

I always [literally always, he hates it] ask Drew why he loves me [hello, I’m a Gemini]. He used to answer with the typical, "you're beautiful and funny!" and I have always responded with an eye roll and "lot's of women are beautiful and funny." He's learned, and now every time there's a different answer. My favorite answer he’s given to that question is "You're the only person I want hiding in my house, waiting to jump out and scare me." He hates when I do that and has almost punched me on multiple occasions. That’s it. That’s us. We love each other, even when one of us wants to punch the other in the face.

I wish I could insert the laughing emoji here.

Most days you'll find me in a a comfy tee, leggings and 3 days of unwashed hair, just trying to navigate motherhood the best I know how. I'm super passionate about my littles becoming the best, kindest version of themselves and the best way for that to happen is if they see it in us. I have an ongoing joke with my best-mom-friend that we are raising daughters that won't have to recover from their childhood [you know you got your crazy from yo mama]. That’s probably more twisted than it is funny, but it's harder than you would think! I love that motherhood is a daily [hourly….minute-ly?] reminder to enjoy the small things.

My passions outside of mothering my little chicks and dude include, hot yoga, golf, running [I’m really bad at 2 out of 3 of those hobbies], doing literally anything with my small tribe of girl friends, and micro managing my amazon cart [for some reason it's always full]. I’m a huge homebody and I love making our space cozy. I’m constantly rearranging furniture [it’s like a reset button and I’m addicted]. I prefer hot tea over coffee, my kids drive me bonkers, my husband is the best secret keeper that I know, my house is almost always a mess, I'm known for always delivering the honest to goodness truth and I love to serve the world by giving. I've found the most rewarding way, for me, to give is through photography; serving you with a moment that you can tuck away and keep forever, gifting you with a memory that you can now have until the end of time... that's the best part of what I do.

Bonus: the connection I build with my clients and developing genuine friendships has made this “job” so much sweeter. [Not kidding, I’ll make being your friend my entire personality for as long as you let me]

I get behind my camera to create timeless, natural, and emotional images for people like YOU!

Let's chat! I want to know you, what's your story?

Still here?

Great, because here's a little more on the cutest humans (and non-humans) ever!

Savannah

She’s ten and easily the most responsible living creature in our home! Although she's VERY mature and careful, she's also super creative and intuitive; she loves to learn, will do anything outdoorsy along side her daddy and her maturity level often has me forgetting that she’s only ten. She tells the best stories about life from her point of view. Over the last decade she’s taught me how to make room for big feelings [she gets her sensitive side from her dad]; and she couldn't have made becoming a mommy any sweeter.

Evelyn

The seven year old gal that landed as a middle child with a wild soul and adventurous spirit. You can bet she’s either upside down in a gymnast move, clacking around in tiny heels and make up or leaving you slack jawed from a snarky comment. Her attitude matches my sarcasm and we both live life based off our eating and sleeping schedules. This sassy little mama’s girl has my curiosity spiked for all the big waves she’ll create in the world.

Maverick

He’s new to the crew! He’s a two year old little wrecking ball who wins the hearts of many with his bright blond hair and toothy grin. He has confidence, humor and more commitment to the word “no” than any child I’ve ever met. My guy loves cars, Dinos, animals and books for days and would likely sleep on the trampoline if we let him. He’s our constant source of entertainment and it’s been the most amazing experience witnessing his relationship with his sisters and their sibling dynamic.

QUINN

Quinn is short for Harley Quinn Skittles Szepietowski (the “Harley” is silent). She is a four year old German shepherd who has no sense of personal space, will throw her toys at you like a weapon and will practically eat your underwear right off your body. Quinn is a bad dog, stuck in a good dog’s body.

Bonnie

Bon-bon is a 10 month old goofy and snuggly chocolate lab who thinks she’s a German Shepherd. Her ears are usually inside out, she chases her tail fairly often and snores like a grown man. She came to us on a whim and slid right into our family perfectly.

Fuzzy Wuzzy

Fuzz is our outdoor mouse hunter and he’s the fluffiest and most friendly cat out there. Catch him purring just by the thought of getting some pets. He’s a master at escaping dogs and sneaking into the house.

Weird Fact

My whole family are "dog people" and we were always told that "your kids will turn out just like your dogs". I feel like it's oddly true for us! Our OG dogs; Wylie was just like Savannah - mature, shy and careful. When they played, they played hard and their snuggle game was sooo good [just not with each other, Wylie hated being touched by kids.] Tessa and Evie both have selective hearing and show you that they love you through entertainment. They're both ornery to their cores and you have to keep constant tabs on their behavior. Maverick and Quinn can only be summarized as they’re both lucky they’re cute. I swear my family’s old wives tale is so true that it's creepy. Shoot me a message and let me know if you've experienced or heard of this before [or please let me know if we’re all is just super weird, so that I can remove this from the internet!].
